BRICS+ ဆိုတာ နိုင်ငံပေါင်းစုံ ပါဝင်တဲ့ နိုင်ငံ အဖွဲ့အစည်းကြီး တစ်ခု။ အနောက်နိုင်ငံ အဖွဲ့အစည်း ဖြစ်တဲ့ NATO ကို စင်ပြိုင်အတွက် ၁၆ ဇွန် ၂၀၀၉ ခုနှစ် မှာ BRIC ထိပ်သီးနိုင်ငံ အစ အက္ခရာတွေနဲ့ ဘရာဇီး၊ ရုရှား၊ အိန္ဒိယ၊ တရုတ် တို့ ဖွဲ့စည်း တည်ထောင်ခဲ့ကြတာပါ။ အစောပိုင်း ၂၀၀၆ စက်တင်ဘာလလောက် ကတည်းက အလွတ်သဘော ပြောကြ ဆိုကြပြီး ဖြစ်နေကြတာပါ။ ၂၀၁၀ မှာတော့ တောင်အာဖရိက အဖွဲ့ဝင်လာပြီး BRIC မှ BRICS ဟု နာမည် ပြန်ပြောင်းခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။ ၂၀၂၄ ခုနှစ် မှာ အီဂျစ်၊ အီသီယိုပီးယား၊ အီရန်၊ ယူအေအီး တို့ အဖွဲ့ဝင်လာကြပြီး BRICS မှ BRICS+ ဟု နာမည် ထပ်ပြောင်းခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။ “+” ကတော့ နောက်တိုးအဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံတိုင်း ကို ရည်ညွှန်းတာ ဖြစ်တဲ့အွက် နောက်ပိုင်း နာမည် ထပ်ပြောင်းစရာ မလိုလောက်တော့ပါဘူး။ ၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်မှာတော့ အင်ဒိုနီးရှား နိုင်ငံ ထပ်ဝင်လာပါတယ်။
BRICS+ is a major intergovernmental organization and geopolitical bloc representing leading emerging economies from the Global South. Originally BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) in 2009, it added South Africa (2010) and expanded significantly in 2024/2025 to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Indonesia, often referred to as BRICS+. The group seeks a multipolar world order, representing roughly 45% of the world’s population and over 35-39% of global GDP.
